ChromaticTM MRSA is a chromogenic selective medium used for the isolation of methicillin/oxacillin resistant S. aureus.
MRSA infections are endemic in both hospitals and the community in all parts of the world. The mortality of MRSA bloodstream infections is double that of similar infections caused by methicillin susceptible strains due to delayed adequate treatment and inferior alternative treatment regimens.
