Tests for execution of esculin hydrolysis for identification of Group D streptococci. This test is intended as an aid in the diagnosis, requiring further tests to complete the diagnostic results.
DESCRIPTION
Aesculin Bile Test is used to differentiate Enterococci and Lancefield group D streptococci (Streptococcus bovis group) from other streptococci based on the ability of microorganisms to hydrolyze aesculin.
