ALKALINE PEPTONE WATER is recommended by WHO and APHA as transport and enrichment medium for vibrio cholera. Enrichment in liquid medium is necessary for Vibrio isolation from feces (after the first 48 hours of disease), for control of the carriers and for the examination of beverages, foods or slurry.
