Description ESBL (Chromos. Induc. AmpC) Disc Kit REF 99006 is a specialist disc-based confirmation kit designed for detecting ESBLs in Enterobacteriaceae with chromosomally encoded inducible AmpC β-lactamases. Using Cefepime — which is not hydrolyzed by AmpC enzymes — the kit enables identification of isolates simultaneously producing both ESBL and AmpC enzymes, where standard cephalosporin-based CDT kits may yield false-negative results.
