This medium can be enriched with other ingredients such as blood, serum, sugars, etc., for special purposes.. Preparation. Dehydrated medium Suspend 13 g of the powder in 1 liter of distilled or deionized water. Heat to boil shaking frequently until completely dissolved. Sterilize in autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes. TEST PROCEDURE Inoculate broth with test sample. Incubate at 35 ± 2°C for 18-24 hours or longer if necessary. INTERPRETING RESULTS Turbidity.
