Method principle
Enzymatic digest of animal tissues and peptone provide amino acids, nitrogen, carbon, vitamins and minerals for organisms growth. Sodium chloride maintains the osmotic balance of the medium.Supplementation with Horse Blood Lysed (ref. 83397) provides essential growth factors. Addition of antibiotics included in Preston Supplement ISO 10272-1 (ref. 81100) allows use with very contaminated samples.
