When this format is useful

This product fits environmental monitoring where repeatable sampling and neutralization are more important than a single isolated result. The lab should connect the medium to surface type, disinfectant residues, incubation plan, alert/action limits, and trend review.

What to read after incubation

The turbidity of the broth culture typically indicates microbial growth. Refer to appropriate

Selective or enrichment logic

Sodium chloride maintains the osmotic balance of the medium. Dipotassium hydrogen phosphate is the buffer. Glucose is the fermentable carbohydrate. Lecithin neutralizes quaternary ammonium compounds. Tween 80 Supplement (ref. 80031) is added to neutralize phenols, hexachlorophene, formalin, and with Lecithin, ethanol.
