ChromaticTM MH is a chromogenic medium (Mueller Hinton base) used for the microbial differentiation simultaneously with susceptibility testing of various microorganisms* directly from clinical specimens. AST can be performed on this medium by using either antibiotic discs (Kirby-Bauer method) or Liofilchem® MIC Test Strip(s) (Gradient test method). * AST optimized for Gram-negative bacteria.. Preparation. Dehydrated medium Suspend 38.5 g of the powder in 1 liter of distilled or deionized water. Heat until completely dissolved. Sterilize in autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes. Cool to 45-50°C.
